Defence Business Readiness Self-Assessment (DBRS) - Process

Return to Index

The Defence Business Readiness Survey (DBRS) Self-Assessment journey is for SMEs to conduct a self-analysis of their defence readiness using the short form survey in the system. The survey consists of 21 multiple single-select questions and must be completed and submitted in one session.

Once you Save and Submit your assessment, a DBRS Self Assessed Scorecard is made available. The DBRS Self Assessed Scorecard provides the result from the survey with score-based guidance for Defence Readiness.

An automated ODIS ticket will be generated based on your selections when submitting your assessment. This helps ODIS to identify potential avenues and opportunities for your business to become ‘defence ready’.

Important Note: 6-Month Limitation
An SME can only Submit one DBRS every six months. This assists ODIS to understand the business defence readiness at that point in time and avoids duplication of responses in a short period of time. A submitted DBRS can at all times be complemented by the SME with added notes and attachments underneath each question.

If you wish to seek further ODIS assistance, please select ‘Seek ODIS Assistance’ on your Dashboard, and submit your request, once you have completed your business profile and the DBRS survey.
